New Regulatory Changes coming

August 2024 Significant regulatory changes are set to impact Australians as the 2024-2025 financial year begins. Taxpayers across all income brackets will benefit from Stage Three tax cuts, with people earning up to 135-thousand dollars set to benefit the most from changes to taxation reform. Minimum wages and superannuation contributions will rise, while parents will gain 10 additional days of paid parental leave at an increased rate. In other changes, vapes will be banned from general retail sale until October, with products to move exclusively to pharmacies. Federal politicians will see a 3.5 per cent pay rise, and Centrelink recipients will experience increased earnings thresholds. NSW will recognise interstate digital driver’s licenses, and passport fees will rise, with an expedited service available for additional cost. Other regulatory changes will include a decrease in the number of temporary graduate visas, increased energy rebates, and bans on working with engineered stone.
