Flinders Greek Conference

The "9th International Conference on Greek Re-search" and the ‘Ageing in the Migrant Diaspora’ conference will be held concurrently at Flinders University from 30th June to 3 July.

The conference is hosted by the Modern Greek section, Department of Language Studies at Flinders University and the Southgate Institute for Health, Society and Equity , also at Flinders University.

The program will include presentations by well known academics from Greece, Cyprus and other parts of the world. Some of the topics to be covered, include Ancient Greek Philosophy, Classical Studies, Cyprus from 1960-2011, History and Migration, Literature and Language, Society and culture, Theology and more.

The "Ageing in the Migrant Diaspora" conference will address issues with regard to ageing and health, service provision and cultural identity issues of Greek and other Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities in Australia and overseas. The conference will be launched on 30 June at the Adelaide Pavilion.
